Leading organisations in smart phones and netbooks will come together to capitalise on relevant analysis and focus on the dramatic growth of mobility and how it's shaking up the industry. - Is this the end for ‘Wintel'? Can ‘Quandroid' make inroads? This panel will explore the future of mobility and which platforms and user interfaces will dominate five years from now.
- Applications and marketplaces. What's hot and what's not and which business models will be most successful. Will Ovi work for Nokia and can operators realistically offer a workable alternative in a multi-platform environment?
- Operators - partners or competitors? PC vendors are following smart phone vendors by embracing the operator subsidy model. For every partnership success, however, conflicts appear too. Can operators sell data to corporate customers? Who owns the customer? Should vendors sign exclusive or multi-operator deals?
To see the full agenda and to register for the event please go to our website.

CEE IPTV 2009
Mon 29 June 2009
Ambasador Zlata Husa hotel, Prague, Czech Republic
IPTV Future King of the Media Industry
An unrivalled informative event for the CEE and EU Markets on the CEE IPTV Industry and the new opportunities for international expansion
For years the IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) technology had been restricted by low broadband penetration. In the coming years, however, residential IPTV is expected to grow at a fast pace and is said to be " The wave of television's future" This is as broadband is available to more than 240 million households worldwide and is projected to grow to 400 million by the year 2010, an expected growth of 32 percent each year.
The majority of the world's major telecommunications providers are exploring IPTV as a new revenue opportunity from their existing markets and as a defensive measure against encroachment from more conventional Cable Television services. This though is not to say that the end is near for the traditional cable and satellite TV formats. In many countries, their grip remains strong, and it's likely to remain so for a long time. However, a study conducted by ABI found that in most developed countries, IPTV will continue its trend of cutting into the cable / satellite viewership numbers.
This conference will offer an informative insight into the Central Eastern Europe region, covering regulatory developments, major players in the IPTV market, as well as presenting a wide range of industry related statistics in addition to future forecasts.
IPTV take up is on the rise in most CEE countries. Our event will examine the key issues of the current global structure of the IPTV market and opportunities for the CEE industry. Building on the successes and popularity of our CEE Telecoms Events, the EastEuro Link CEE IPTV one-day forum has been created as an unrivalled and informative event to attract the key players in the market.
This inaugural event will feature regional reports and all the relevant information about the topical issues facing the IPTV industry delivered by our significant line up of expert speakers including several international Key-Notes!
RadiSys Webinar - How IP Media Servers Help Network Operators and Telecom Developers During Lean Economic Times
Wed 17 June 2009
The business environment has never been tougher. Service Providers need to grow their revenues while reducing network operating costs. Telecom developers are working on new innovative applications, with fewer development resources. How can the industry achieve these seemingly contradictory goals during lean economic times? How can one do more with less?
Please join RadiSys' Ray Adensamer in a live webinar as he reviews how IP media server products in a VoIP or IMS network deliver economic and service benefits. Learn how telecom service providers can consolidate all their disparate media processing requirements and equipment into a common IP media server platform, increasing their ability to rapidly introduce new services and generate new revenues, while reducing costs. Understand how telecom application developers, rather then concerning themselves with the specialized engineering around real-time IP voice, video, and speech packet processing, can instead integrate off-the-shelf IP media server products, allowing them to utilize fewer resources and accelerate their application development.

Untapped Opportunities in Audio Conferencing
Wed 06 May 2009
Webinar: Wed May 6, 2009 at 4pm CET, 10am EDT, 7am PDT.
In the U.S., audio conferencing minutes of use continue to grow as companies expand their use of conferencing services as a collaboration tool, which doubles as a cost-saving measure to help businesses combat growing pressure to reduce costs. The trend is expected to accelerate in Europe and Asia, creating new opportunities globally for Collaboration Service Providers (CSPs). However, as new competitors enter the market to service this growing demand, established CSPs will continue to feel price pressures if they continue to deliver increasingly commoditized basic conferencing services using traditional TDM conference bridge technology. Innovative CSPs are responding to these challenges by deploying next-generation VoIP architectures that not only reduce their costs, but position them to offer new, differentiated service offerings.
Join Ray Adensamer of RadiSys and Marc Beattie of Wainhouse Research as they outline the dynamic opportunity that is emerging for next-generation audio conferencing services.
