M2M: Announcing our new survey, special report and seminar

Machine-to-machine communication is one of the most exciting and important growth areas for operators in Europe.

With the number of connected devices and M2M subscribers growing exponentially, the market provides a potentially lucrative revenue stream to offset declines in the core telecoms business.

As we reported earlier this week, seven of the world’s biggest mobile operators have formed an M2M alliance as they attempt to take a lead in this fragmented and complex space.

But precisely how should operators take advantage of this opportunity? What are business models that work? What are the strategies that have been successfully deployed thus far? What are the implications for operators’ networks?

These are some of the key questions that European Communications will be focusing on this quarter.

Click here to take our latest quarterly survey and share your views on the current state of the M2M market and the role that operators can play in it.

The results of the online survey will form part of our special report into M2M that will be published in the Q3 edition of European Communications magazine – out in September.

The survey and the special report are precursors to our next half-day event, which will discuss the major M2M topics and features presentations by operators and analysts.

Marc Sauter, head of global M2M business development at Vodafone, will be delivering a keynote presentation.

Further speakers will be announced in due course.
