Amazon has its launched it Appstore service for Android users in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
The service provides localised content and a localised mobile store for each country.
It is known as “App-Shop” in Germany, France and Italy, “Tienda Apps” in Spain and “Amazon Appstore for Android” in the UK.
“Amazon has spent years developing innovative features that help customers find and discover the products that are right for them and have applied that know-how to the Amazon Appstore,” said Jim Adkins, Vice President of Amazon Appstore.
“We’re delighted to extend that experience to our European customers.”
The Appstore includes features such as “Free App of the Day,” personalised recommendations, Customer Reviews and 1-Click payments.
Developers can use the service to build and monetise their apps and games.
Amazon launched the Appstore in the US last March.
