Nokia divests luxury mobile firm

Telecommunications giant Nokia has officially divested Vertu, a UK-based luxury mobile phone provider, to a private equity body. The Finnish telecoms firm announced in June this year that it planned to divest Vertu, which has its headquarters in Church Crookham, England, to EQT VI. 

Under the terms of the agreement, around 1,000 employees are set to be transferred over to Vertu, while Nokia is set to retain a 10 percent minority shareholding in the organisation.
