Vodafone UK partners with WIN for alert services delivery
Rationalises content provision to offer consistency and choice for consumers
Vodafone UK has outsourced the provision of all its mobile alert services on Vodafone live! to leading wireless solutions provider, Wireless Information Network (WIN).
The subscription, hosting and delivery of Vodafone live! SMS and MMS services was previously handled by multiple providers across the platform. The decision by Vodafone to bring all alerts under one supplier will lead to greater convenience, control and clarity for consumers; and operational benefits for Vodafone - allowing its team to focus on the roll-out of new services.
The service is being delivered through WIN's recently launched content management system, Emporium. The new approach offers a standardised sign-up and delivery mechanism for all alert services on Vodafone live! - including sports, news and lifestyle alerts - with the ability to order through web, WAP, SMS and IVR.
Ben King, Marketing Manager of WIN comments: "With the mobile content market becoming more complicated, leading providers are increasingly outsourcing key elements of their offering to specialist partners such as WIN. We have the infrastructure and software to take the pain out of managing the whole process, backed up by 15 years experience."
This agreement extends the relationship between the two companies - WIN already manages high profile content services for Vodafone live! Greece.
Emporium is WIN's industry leading platform for the management of mobile multimedia services. Customers are able to upload or license content from 3rd party catalogues, compile and host services, build storefronts, distribute and bill for their services form a single interface.
