Huawei signs with TDC Song for their Data Distribution Network in Sweden
Huawei Technologies has signed a contract to supply TDC Song Sweden’s Data Distribution Network. According to the contract, Huawei will provide its Quidway s8500 core routing Ethernet switch utilizing RPR technology for TDC Song’s broadband operations in Sweden. The roll-out, starting in July, is said to mark the launch of substantial cooperation between the two companies.
TDC Song´s CTO, Per Ole Heltov, says: "We are very satisfied with the product solution we will implement from Huawei. We are looking forward to a rollout of Huawei equipment for our broadband network this year. This rollout will improve the capacity, performance and services we can offer to our customers."
Mr. William Xu, President for Huawei’s European Region, and one of the first executives to meet with TDC back in 2004, commented, "Huawei greatly values its cooperation with TDC Song. We hope that Huawei Ethernet solutions will help TDC Song to maintain and improve its leadership position in the data communications and broadband market in the Nordic’s."
Mr. Xu added, "Having extensive experience in the construction of commercial data communications and broadband networks around the world, TDC Song is assured of a high quality service provided by Huawei. The Sweden project is the first step in the cooperation between Huawei and TDC Song and Huawei hopes that more announcements with TDC Song are forthcoming."
