CTBC to Deploy CSG Systems' Kenan FX Framework

Brazilian Operator to Implement Billing and Customer Care Platform for Mobile, Wireline, Data and Broadband Services

Global billing and customer care solutions provider, CSG Systems, has announced that CTBC, a leading convergent services provider in Brazil offering wireline, wireless, broadband and data services, will implement solutions within CSG's Kenan FX framework.

CTBC has been a CSG client since 1999 when it first selected Kenan/BP as its billing platform of choice for wireline services. As part of the new agreement, CTBC will upgrade Kenan/BP to the latest Kenan FX compliant version as part of a company-wide initiative to standardize billing platforms across the organization. Kenan FX will replace the current mobile billing platform and will support more than 700,000 business and residential customers across mobile, GSM services, wireline, broadband and data services.

In addition, CTBC plans to use modules within Kenan FX to support roaming and advanced rating rules. CSG's professional services organization will lead the implementation effort for the CSG Kenan FX solutions. Upon completion of the upgrade, CTBC will not only become CSG's first convergent client in Brazil but also the first Brazilian client to adopt the Kenan FX framework, thereby increasing the total number of Kenan FX clients around the world to 17.

The Kenan FX framework was launched in the Fall of 2003 and combines CSG's strongest existing and acquired applications with new products and features in a single, easily integrated customer care and billing framework.

"We selected CSG's Kenan FX platform because its ability to support convergent services and advanced network technologies such as GSM on a single platform is firmly in line with our business strategy," said José Antônio Fechio, director of information technology of CTBC. "We are pleased to continue our relationship with CSG, enabling us to support all lines of business while streamlining our infrastructure and reducing overall operating costs."

"CTBC is taking advantage of the broad scope of Kenan FX by supporting convergent services, for both business and residential customers, across traditional and advanced networks," said Birger Thorburn, chief technical officer for CSG's Americas region. "So, no matter what kind of service a CTBC customer uses or what kind of transaction they make, Kenan FX will enable CTBC to respond quickly and accurately every time."
