Operax to participate in GMI 2006
Operax, the QoS control company, has today announced its participation in Global MSF (MultiService Forum) Interoperability (GMI) 2006. Operax follows up leadership in QoS control with participation in the global IMS and NGN trial defined by MSF Release 3.
GMI 2006 will bring together dozens of carriers and vendors to test the interoperability of IMS-based infrastructure components in a real-world setting. GMI 2006 will provide tangible proof of multi-vendor interoperability for carrier class, QoS enabled, end-to-end voice and multimedia services originating and terminating on fixed and mobile IMS networks, using MSF Release 3 Implementation Agreements.
“The GMI 2006 is a good opportunity to demonstrate our state of the art products for resource-based and policy-based QoS control in end-to-end IMS and NGN networks. This trial maps well into current needs and roadmaps of the carriers” says Olov Schelén CTO Operax.
Operax will provide solutions for Bandwidth Management and QoS Control. Operax solutions are multi-vendor, multi-service and multi-technology, and give service providers and network operators the ability to introduce new services rapidly and to realize new revenue streams, reduce capital expenditures and increase operational efficiency.
Five of the world´s top carriers - BT, KT, NTT, Verizon and Vodafone and a world class test facility UNH-IOL - will host the event to provide world-class networked test facilities spanning three continents. Comprising a massive real network trial of the MSF IMS-compatible (IP Multimedia System) Release 3 architecture, this event is critically important to any carrier or vendor committed to building or implementing infrastructure elements compatible with IMS.
Operax will participate at BT/Vodafone, NTT and Verizon sites.
