Brightpoint enters into agreement with Sonim for Eastern and Western Europe
Brightpoint adds ruggedised device for mobile enterprise workers to its portfolio
Brightpoint has that its German subsidiary Brightpoint has entered into an agreement with Sonim Technologies, the global provider of high-performance VoIP applications for mobile data networks.
Pursuant to the agreement, Brightpoint will provide packaging, logistics and after-market support services for the Sonim XP1 handset in Eastern and Western Europe .
The XP1 is the industry's first OMA PoC 1.0-compliant handset and the only IP52 ruggedised Push-to-Talk handset in the market, enabling interoperable PTT services for mobile workforces across Europe .
The XP1 is designed to withstand the challenging mobile work environments of industrial and municipal workers in Europe and has received IP52 certification, passing extensive testing for water and dust exposure. The phone features Sonim's leading OMA PoC 1.0 client software and was designed for optimal push-to-talk usability, including a high-output audio system and prominent PTT features.
