Comarch to deliver OSS solution pilot to T-Mobile
Comarch has signed a contract with T-Mobile International to carry out a pilot implementation of the Comarch Inventory Management system, which is part of the Comarch OSS Suite.
The pilot phase of the project will see resource and service management being implemented at T-Mobile Germany and T-Mobile Austria.
"A project for such an important player on the global telecommunications market confirms the maturity and quality of Comarch's IT solutions. It also proves that Comarch possesses the implementation skills and knowledge necessary to carry out pan-European projects. This undertaking opens a new chapter in Comarch's development," states Piotr Piatosa, Comarch Vice President.
If the pilot project is successful, further stages will encompass other countries where the T-Mobile International Group operates. The implementation of the system would allow the T-Mobile Group to realize its goals of top-quality service - including offering customers Common Services - and pan-European OSS unification.
The growing popularity of Next-Generation Networks (NGN) that include IP services presents Operation Support Systems with a range of new requirements. Today, the effective planning and maintenance of increasingly complex services is impossible without efficient inventory management systems; it has become a strategic necessity for operators, especially those with global reach, to focus on Service Management by making use of Resource and Service Inventory.
