TENNET NGN platform connects AMT customers
SITRONICS Telecom Solutions, has signed a contract with Russian operator AMT for delivery of elements of the company’s TENNET NGN solution. SITRONICS TS will deploy core elements of its new TENNET NGN communications platform based on Advanced TCA technology to connect ATM’s customers to the public phone network through an ISDN (PRA) interface. The commercial launch of the new solution for AMT is scheduled for Q2 2007
“Over the past 12 months, SITRONICS TS has gathered considerable experience operating the TENNET next generation network solution in network environments," said Nihad Hurem, General Director of SITRONICS Telecom Solutions, Czech Republic. "This experience is valued by our new customers who seek a modern and cost-effective way to modernize their infrastructure and service offering."
The solution being implemented at ATM is based on the MGC 9800 softswitch and TGX 6800 trunk gateway which features 6,000 transit ports to support several tens of thousands of customers in commercial operation. Implementation and systems support will be managed by SITRONICS TS’ Moscow branch.
The TENNET platform enables operators to converge voice, data and content services in a unified IP-based communication network. The open architecture of Advanced TCA facilitates implementation of new IP-based solutions and services. The TENNET NGN solution enables operators to manage their networks and business processes far more effectively, deliver new revenue generating IP-based services, and significantly reduce overall operating costs.
