LHS wins 3GSM Best Billing Award 2005
LHS secures award win for best Rating Package solution
LHS has announced that it has won the 3GSM award for Best Billing and Customer Care Solution 2005. LHS has won the award in recognition for the use of its pre-post-paid convergent Rating at Turkcell. Turkcell chose LHS' Rating to launch its KampusCell community group tariff for both pre and postpaid university students.
Turkcell originally launched the community group service back in 2003 on a postpaid basis. Turkcell then implemented Rating Package from LHS to offer the service to prepaid students also. Rating Package allows Turkcell to provide the same special rates and discounts across both pre and postpaid accounts.
"The LHS solution allows us not only to offer inexpensive calls for closed communities but also to offer other targeted discounts," says Ruhi Do_usoy, chief operating officer at Turkcell. "As a result of a more targeted marketing efforts, we've been able to increase our competitive advantage by driving customer loyalty in a market group that we hope will continue to stay with Turkcell as they move from student to professional."
Paul Hughes, director of billing and payment application strategies at Yankee Group comments "Turkcell has been able to simultaneously boost subscriber numbers but also to increase the customer loyalty and ARPU of its prepaid customers. It's a great way of providing an operator with greater flexibility and is one of the larger and more successful implementations in the market."
