Service Providers Consolidate Voice, Data Mediation with Amdocs
Amdocs demonstrates momentum since acquisition of XACCT Technologies; Operators around the world, including Neuf Telecom and Partner Communications Company Deploy Amdocs for converged mediation solutions
Amdocs, the leading provider of billing and CRM products and services for true integrated customer management, has today announced that Neuf Telecom, a leading network infrastructure and service provider in France, has implemented Amdocs for voice mediation, building upon an already successful deployment of Amdocs mediation solution for data services.
Neuf Telecom is the latest customer to turn to Amdocs for mediation since Amdocs' acquisition of XACCT Technologies, Inc. in February 2004. Another recent deployment was completed by Partner Communications Company, operating the Orange network in Israel.
Amdocs mediation empowers leading operators worldwide to introduce new services rapidly, offer multiple payment models and make real-time charging a reality. As a connection between providers' wireless and data networks to their billing, CRM and other support systems, Amdocs mediation translates customer usage into accurate, collectible revenue, regardless of service type (voice, data) or payment plan (prepaid, postpaid).
"Today's competitive pressures drive CSPs to ensure the accurate and timely billing for multiple services and rapid introduction of new services, while increasing operational efficiency, reducing costs and eliminating potential revenue leakage. Amdocs' XACCT mediation platform deployed at Neuf Telecom is the type of solution CSPs need to address these pressures," said Larry Goldman, partner and co-founder of OSS Observer.
"As a result of the acquisition of XACCT last year, Amdocs is now able to support the entire customer lifecycle through billing, mediation and CRM, enabling communications service providers to manage their customers in a truly integrated fashion," said Michael Matthews, chief marketing officer of Amdocs. "Operators can rely on a single vendor to cost-effectively support their entire network infrastructure."
Neuf Telecom, a leading wireline provider in France, has implemented Amdocs to consolidate its voice mediation systems onto one unified platform. Building upon its existing Amdocs solution for data services, Neuf Telecom will be able to complete the new Amdocs implementation quickly and seamlessly. Amdocs' convergent voice and data mediation technology ensures accurate and timely billing for multiple services and rapid introduction of new services, as well as increase Neuf Telecom's operational efficiency, reduce costs and eliminate potential revenue leakage.
"As Neuf Telecom continues to grow rapidly in an intensely competitive marketplace, we require a single, flexible mediation solution for voice and data services," said Jérémie Manigne, IT vice president at Neuf Telecom. "Amdocs' vast industry experience with replacing multiple legacy mediation systems provides a low-risk solution that will enable us to continuously expand our service offerings and ultimately provide superior customer service."
Partner Communications Company, a leading Israeli cellular operator, operating the Orange network in Israel is currently in production for 3G voice and data mediation services. Relying on a single media platform for both voice and data mediation will enable Partner Communications Company to rapidly deploy cross-product promotions and bundles, while supporting multiple pricing plans.
