LHS wins

LHS today announces that it has won an award for its contribution in the BSS and OSS industry over the past year. LHS was awarded ‘Overall Best Contribution to Billing’ at IIR’s Billing Systems 2005 in recognition of its newly launched iX Series that was unveiled at 3GSM this year.

LHS' iX Series provides pre-postpaid convergence to support the end-to-end business support processes including the network interface layer, the pricing and account management, convergent billing and finance as well as integrated customer care for prepaid and postpaid service offerings and customers. iX Series provides a new generation of best-in-class standalone business systems for rating, billing, mediation and recharge. The heart of the solution is LHS' flexible iX Rating system for real-time pricing as well as real-time balance management. LHS' flexible rating system can handle prepaid, postpaid or mixed account types. Its flexible concepts support multiple balances per service and subscriber.

Hugh Roberts, consultant director, BSS/OSS Events, IIR Telecoms and Chairman of the World Billing Awards Judging Panel comments, "The judging panel have been delighted to see the return to success of an important 'billing brand'. This is important not just for LHS but for the telecoms BSS community as a whole. However, no amount of branding will persuade service providers to purchase a billing solution without a good quality product portfolio to back it up. This year LHS has been recognised because of both these factors. Congratulations!"

Dr. Detlef Purschke, chief marketing officer at LHS comments, "This is a very important win for LHS and we are pleased that the iX Series has been acknowledged by the billing industry as a leading enterprise solution for communication providers targeting pre-postpaid convergence."
