Ericsson's Ethernet DSL Access solution selected by Tele2 in Sweden and Norway
Tele2 has chosen Ericsson's Ethernet DSL Access solution to open the door to triple play services. Deployments are already underway and cover Tele2's networks in Norway and Sweden.
Ericsson's IP-DSLAM solution will allow Tele2 to increase the functionality and capacity of its already installed fixed networks, and at the same time boost its portfolio by adding bundled IP services.
Peter Linder, Technical Director Wireline, says: "Tele2's choice of Ericsson as a supplier confirms our leading position within High Performance Broadband Access solutions. We are honored that Tele2 once again chooses Ericsson as its technological partner as it ventures into new business areas."
Ericsson's industry-leading Ethernet DSL Access solution supports high bandwidth demanding services, with advanced quality assurance mechanisms for demanding video applications. Currently the most scalable IP-DSLAM solution on the market, Ericsson's Ethernet DSL Access solution lets operators develop their business beyond basic IP connectivity, securing the possibility to offer triple play services to home and office environments in a cost-efficient and future-proof way.
Ericsson EDA is said to be the most widely deployed IP-DSLAM globally, with more than 70 networks deployed worldwide.
