LHS partners with Tango Telecom to provide fully convergent billing platform

Partnership enables operators to rollout end-to-end billing services across a single customer base

LHS has today announced its partnership with Tango Telecom to provide a fully convergent end-to-end rating and billing platform for mobile operators. Tango Telecom, provider of convergent charging solutions, is working with LHS to combine its Converged Charging Node (CCN) with LHS’ billing and customer care solution BSCS and the Rating Package. The combined solutions will provide operators with a fully convergent end-to-end platform supporting real-time rating, balance management and billing across both pre and post-paid subscriber services.

The partnership will bring together the powerful real-time rating and balance management of BSCS and the Rating Package with the real-time service control of Tango Telecom’s CCN solution. The real-time charging capabilities of LHS’ Rating Package enables operators to manage the credit risks of both pre- and postpaid users which is growing with the content market. Real-time service control works by allowing operators to cut off users if they have run out of credit which allows operators to reduce the loss of revenue from subscribers who have exceeded their credit limit.

Operators will benefit from being able to quickly offer the same services, whether voice, data or content to both pre and post-paid customers.

Richard Choi, Vice President Sales and Marketing at Tango Telecom comments, “operators are striving for convergence of their prepaid and postpaid services and we have reflected this trend in our partnership with LHS. With one single customer base operators can offer all services and tariff plans for every subscriber irrespective of their payment method.”

Stefan Sieber, Chief Marketing Officer, LHS Systems adds, “our partnership with Tango Telecom will allow operators to quickly rollout new content services to both pre and post paid customers and maximise ARPU from new content services, without risking to lose revenue.”

The solution is pre-integrated and allows for easy integration with an operator’s existing infrastructure, resulting in a fast, cost-effective and low-risk deployment. It is implemented in the Customer Innovation Centre (CIC) at LHS premises and can be demonstrated on request.

BSCS is an end-to-end customer care and billing system, designed to deliver across all wireline, wireless and multi-services networks in the worldwide marketplace, today and tomorrow. Rating Package is an end-to-end real time rating and balance management system, designed to integrate smoothly and simply with operators’ existing IT and network infrastructures.
