LHS to offer its billing and customer care system BSCS iX on IBM
LHS, a leading provider for telecommunications and billing software, has today announced that its world-class billing and customer care system BSCS iX is now generally available on IBM eServer pSeries.
Working with IBM, LHS and IBM successfully ported BSCS iX and iX Rating including SDPx, a highly available prepaid extension, to IBM’s leading UNIX server platform, which runs the AIX 5L operating system. The first customer project for implementing BSCS iX on IBM’s pSeries has just been started. IBM eServer pSeries systems are designed to offer outstanding business value to customers and help them achieve high performance and flexibility. AIX 5L delivers industrial strength UNIX reliability, availability and security.
LHS has now added IBM’s pSeries to its list of strategic platforms effective from November 2005. In addition to the current pSeries-based offerings, LHS will support future releases of the operating system to ensure that its products use the latest features provided by IBM, improving functionality, scalability and performance of customer- installed systems. BSCS iX, LHS’ cutting-edge billing and customer care application, running on IBM UNIX systems, offers clients a powerful solution that enables communication service providers to benefit from state-of-the-art-technology.
