Telecom Italia (TIM) has overhauled its management of its consumer, business and technology divisions.
Among the new appointments, Stefano Azzi takes the role of Head of Consumer and Small Enterprise, Giovanni Ferigo becomes Head of the Technology Department and Lorenzo Forina has been appointed Head of Business and Top Clients.
Head of ICT Solutions and Service Platforms Simone Battiferri and Head of Technology Giuseppe Roberto Opilio both depart.
The cuts are designed to bring in a more youthful executive team, with an incentive offered to those willing to take early retirement. TIM is also offering funds for executive who wish to study or start-up business.
TIM’s last quarterly results showed an upturn, with Ebitda finishing the period ended 30 June at €1.7 billion, up 6.9 percent on a like for like basis, despite overall sales in Italy sliding 1.2 percent to €3.7 billion. The company raised its guidance for the year accordingly.
