How to make the IoT pay, a smart city demonstration and the future of connected cars are among the topics that will be explored in the second annual European Communications/Mobile Europe IoT conference later this month.
Senior executives from Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom, BT and Telia Company feature at the event, which takes place on 30 November in London.
The event is being held at The Crystal building, which is home to the world’s largest exhibition on the future of cities and is the world’s most sustainable events venue.
Other topics that will be explored on the day include who the IoT belongs to, the future of LoRa technology, and opportunities within the smart home.
European Communications Editor Marc Smith said: “Operators continue to hone their IoT strategies as the number of products and services on the market begins to ramp up.
“There remains many more questions than answers, however, and this seminar will provide a showcase of where the telecoms industry is today.
“While analysts continue to predict a multibillion dollar opportunity is within reach, Amazon’s Echo product is just one reminder among many that telcos have their work cut out to ensure they get a sizeable share.”
